A recent study suggests that Black people have more distrust and more spiritual beliefs about #medical research than other races. The findings may help researchers better understand the participation barriers faced by Black communities, including barriers that may be imposed by the structure of the studies themselves. For medical advances to provide the most benefit to people from a range of racial and ethnic groups, Black communities, and other historically marginalized populations, must be involved in the #clinicaltrials that lead to these advances.
