Our students never cease to amaze me! I have had the honor of working with Keyonte' through his involvement in the pre-law community at Vanderbilt and his utilization of the Vanderbilt Career Center. Great work Keyonte'!
Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of speaking at Vanderbilt University's Fall Staff Assembly, an event dedicated to recognizing the essential contributions of staff who make our university thrive. With inspiring addresses from Chancellor Daniel Diermeier and Vice Chancellor Sydney Savion, the assembly was a powerful reminder of the impact staff have on our community. The staff at Vanderbilt go above and beyond, creating an environment where students can truly dare to grow, overcome challenges, and thrive. I’m so grateful for their hard work, which often happens behind the scenes but is essential to every success story on this campus. Check out my speech, event recap, and a few photos from the event. Let’s continue to celebrate the individuals who make Vanderbilt extraordinary. 💛🎓 Link to speech: https://lnkd.in/eDWfDnHS (Start: 34:10). The eight-episode seriescovers topics such as Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), cybersecurity, AI in national security, life at the NSA, and more. For Vanderbilt University students interested in public service or careers in national security, this is a unique chance to explore an agency that typically operates out of the public eye. We are thrilled to share a unique project we had the opportunity to partner on, led by the Wond'ry. Vanderbilt University alum Rich Hull ’92—a co-founder of #VandyinHollywood and a strong supporter of career services—has directed a powerful documentary, Fighting Spirit: A Combat Chaplain's Journey. Produced in partnership with #ChrisPratt, the film is set for theatrical release on Nov 8th, just in time for Veterans Day. The film has already been previewed for the Pope at The #Vatican! As part of a pre-release screening tour, Rich has generously offered to bring the film to #Vanderbilt. 📅 October 19th 📍 Location: Sarratt Cinema ⏰ Doors open at 4 PM 🎟 Suggested Donation: $25 This event is made possible with the support of key partners like the Vanderbilt University Institute of National Security and the Vanderbilt Divinity School. All proceeds from this special screening will benefit The Wond’ry and Vandy in Hollywood programs. Tickets are limited, so get yours before they're gone! https://lnkd.in/ewFCaY3Q

The numbers are in! Over 1,200 students participated in events during Commodore Career Week. These events take months of careful planning and collaboration, and we’re incredibly proud of our team for making it happen! This impactful week wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support from alumni, campus partners, faculty, and employers. For many #Vanderbilt students, this week will help shape their futures. Thank you to everyone who contributed to its success! #vandygram Vanderbilt University #careercenter #careersuccess
