De novo aneurysms of the inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery are rare and challenging. Today's case at Asklepios Kliniken Langen - Seligenstadt in a female patient with hostile abdomen and persistent epigastralgia. Successful percutaneous minimally invasive treatment using Penumbra Vascular Coils, from the transfemoral axis due to upward directed SMA, via a steerable sheath Oscor Inc. NXT MED GmbH and microcatheters. We have now successfully treated a 33-years old female patient. She has been suffering from Claudication for more than 4 months, since 2 weeks already on resting pain. At the first presentation, we had a suspect diagnosis of arteritis. Since then, Takayasu arteritis with primary aorto-iliacal disease has actually been presented by several diagnostic procedures. After the introduction of immunosuppressives, we were able to treat those stenosis. Our first choice of treatment was covered kissing stent. Do you think so too? Be back ... @ vascular wednesday chronic occlusion of the iliac artery on the left side, it was not possible to reach the true lumen of the infrarenal aorta with different strategies. I therefore chose the “Be Back”as a crossing / reentry catheter, which led to success after a short time. I was then able to restore the iliac artery. Teddy bear hospital @ vascular wednesday Today, children were allowed to look after their cuddly toys @ St. Marien Hospital in Lünen and take a close look at the rescue vehicles, including the Christoph 8 helicopter rescue service ADAC Luftrettung. Many thanks to the chief physician PD Dr. Christine Meyer-Frießem head of the clinical department for anaesthesiology, intensive and pain medicine for organisation and the many helpers like Francisco Marques de Azevedo who made it possible - many thanks for this great event.
