As we embark on new journeys in 2025, our mission remains the same: keep cancer on the run. I recently had the honor of visiting the Virginia General Assembly to share the work we are doing at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, and greet the first Black governor in the history of the United States, Governor L. Douglas Wilder. I also met with leaders from other universities during the Cancer Caucus to discuss our efforts throughout Virginia to work toward eliminating the cancer burden and ensuring that the miracle medicine reaches every community. One team, one fight!
