Thanking your donors not only feels good, but it's an essential part of any non-profit fundraising strategy! Donors who can't see the impact their giving is making are much more likely to give less, become disengaged, and even leave your organization for one where they can feel like they're making a difference. So how can you show your donors how much you appreciate their gifts? Here are a few ideas: (Be sure you save this post for later so you can try these with your donors! 🔽) 🔸Send a personalized letter or email that highlights a specific life your donor has impacted. Seeing where their donation is going can be revolutionary for your donor. 🔸Host an appreciation event. Whether virtual or in-person, get your donors together and talk about your most recent work, share programs you're excited about, and make them feel like they're getting a behind the scenes look that's reserved only for people who are "in the know!" 🔸Record a personalized video message. Get multiple people at your organization to share or take a tour of your building, go over your programs, and update your donor on your mission progress and the role they're playing in it. 🔸Give donors a shout-out! Share on your website and social media, thanking your donors for the generous ways they are helping to impact lives. This method is a great way to thank your donors and keep them updated on what's going on with your org. **Note: While every donor deserves and should know the impact their giving is making, due to your limited time as a fundraiser, you may only be able to personalize your connections with your top tier donors, and that is OK! There are creative and special ways you can share gratitude at scale as well. #donations #donorengagement #nonprofitdonors #donorretention #increasedonations #donorstewardship #fundraisingtips #majorgifts #majorgiftsfundraising #nonprofitcoach #nonprofitmanagement #nonprofitlove #nonprofitdevelopment #501c3
