Yesterday, we had a very special visit at VROCC! The young people of @vroccboston welcomed Dr. Cruz, his team of teachers, and students, who have accomplished an incredible project: creating their own high school in California! During their visit, we toured the VROCC facilities together, shared a dinner, and engaged in a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences. It was a night filled with learning, inspiration, and community. 💡 And this Saturday, you’ll have the chance to hear them speak at an exclusive conference at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Don’t miss their stories and discover how they are transforming education. See you there!

On February 15th, we proudly hosted the first edition of “Día del Amigo” in partnership with El Planeta, bringing the community together to honor and celebrate 19 outstanding Latino youth from across Massachusetts, including Nantucket, Quincy, Norwood, Chelsea, and East Boston. Nominated by parents, educators, and community leaders, these young individuals were recognized for their academic excellence, leadership, and resilience in overcoming economic, linguistic, and social barriers. From students leading community initiatives to those inspiring others through personal perseverance, each story is a powerful testament to the strength and talent of Latino youth. Six of their stories will be featured in El Planeta, amplifying their voices and inspiring others. Additionally, all honorees will share their experiences on Órale con Verónica, broadcast on Mega Radio. This event not only highlighted individual achievements but also strengthened the bonds between Latino communities across the state. At VROCC, we remain committed to uplifting and empowering the next generation, because we believe in the power of youth to create positive change.
