Two weeks ago, our filesystem team had a fantastic time at FOSDEM 2025, where our Senior Filesystem Engineer, Zach Brown, introduced NGNFS—our new distributed POSIX filesystem built for low-latency, high-concurrency workloads in HPC, AI, and ML. Zach’s talk explored the unique challenges of large-scale storage, how NGNFS is designed to tackle them, and early performance results.
