The Shale and Tight Oil Development Workshop hosted by CNPC and sponsored by Vertechs Group aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange, foster strategic vision sharing and present innovative solutions & case studies to address the challenges. Dou Lirong, the Executive Director and President of the Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED) at CNPC, and Oscar Bustos, Senior Vice President of Unconventional at ADNOC Group, lead the workshop as Co-Chairs. During the Workshop, experts from major unconventional development countries worldwide joined the knowledge sharing. At the recently concluded ADIPEC 2024, we introduced two innovative well control technologies that enhance operational efficiency and safety. IPC Titan - Smart Choke Retrofit can upgrade manual chokes to electrical ones, improving control precision, response time, and control periods. It also allows for remote operation and reduces operational risks. Otherwise, our XRSim Training Platform uses advanced VR technology to deliver immersive training for well control responses.
