About us

Victoria Independent School District in Victoria, Texas currently spans 612 square miles of excellence. Victoria ISD boasts more than 13,000 students, with two Head Start locations, 14 elementary schools, seven secondary campuses, and two alternative schools. The VISD prides itself on its vast spectrum of academic programs. These include advanced academics, gifted and talented classes, bilingual, pre-AP classes, dual credit courses, AVID, dyslexia, and a whole host of educational opportunities through the special education department. Students have the opportunity to participate in academic as well as extracurricular sports. VISD students are able to showcase their athletic skills in basketball, football, baseball, golf, volleyball, powerlifting, wrestling, cheerleading, soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, track & field, kickball, and powerlifting. In the Victoria Independent School District, fine arts thrive. The students are able to participate in theater, band, orchestra, choir, dance, mariachi, guitar, ballet folklorico and art. Thanks to the people of Victoria, the fine arts students and community have a state-of-the-art fine arts facility.
