Exciting news from California State University - East Bay! After 6 years, the university now has a mascot. Meet Perry the Peregrine Falcon, who made his debut at President Cathy Sandeen's President's Block Party. The journey to this milestone was filled with dedication and hard work. Student workers Diego Torres, Jonathan Crescenzo, and Samantha Balderas, now our full-time social media specialist, led the research and student focus groups. Through community voting and name submissions, Perry emerged as the beloved mascot. A special shoutout to the diligent members of the Communications team - Ben S., Kimberly Hawkins, Gus Yoo, Garvin Tso, Vanessa Lopez, Suryatheja Alladi, Bhavya Lad, and Kyle McCray - for their immense efforts in making this possible.
