In collaboration with Brand USA and the Colorado Tourism Office, we welcomed 12 tour operators and travel trade professionals from the UK last week! They enjoyed personalized goodie bags, delicious boxed lunches from You Need Pie Diner Franchising, and a guided hike to the breathtaking Bierstadt Lake with Thomas Pemberton of Estes Park Tour Guides. Yes, Estes! Estes Park has just been named one of the Top 10 Destinations in the U.S. to visit this autumn, none other than USA TODAY! USA TODAY 10Best just named Estes Park number 5 of the 10 best destinations for an autumn adventure this fall, and that's nationwide! Here's what they had to say: "Celebrate the arrival of autumn in Estes Park with a number of special events, from the Autumn Gold Festival to Elk Fest and the Pumpkins & Pilsners Festival. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting an incredible group of journalists in Estes Park in collaboration with our Northern Colorado neighbors to showcase the adventure and beauty of our region. We were thrilled to welcome a talented group of writers who explored the stunning landscapes and vibrant local culture of our destination and beyond. Special thanks to the fantastic writers who visited us: Karthika Gupta (Forbes, Backpacker, Condé Nast Traveler) Roshae Hemmings (Detour) Rosalind Cummings-Yeates (Thrillist, Smithsonian) Barbara Noe Kennedy (Fodor’s, Travel + Leisure, National Geographic) We were also joined by Amy G. of Turner PR and Carly Holbrook of Handlebar PR. During their visit to Estes Park, our guests embarked on a hike to Emerald Lake, enjoyed an ATV adventure with Backbone Adventures, and explored the charming downtown shopping scene that makes our community unique. We’re excited to see their stories and experiences come to life through their writing as they share the magic of Northern Colorado with a broader audience. Stay tuned for their upcoming features and get inspired to plan your own adventure in our beautiful corner of the world!

Visit Estes Park is featured in a recent PhocusWire article for its innovative approach to integrating AI into destination marketing. Our CEO, Kara Franker, JD, CDME, alongside Janette Roush of New York City Tourism + Conventions, discusses how DMOs can educate local partners and businesses on leveraging AI to stay competitive in the ever-evolving travel industry. As Kara points out in the article, "The more savvy the destination is as a whole when it comes to both technology and marketing, the better chance we have at maintaining market share and driving the tourism economy." We are honored to be a part of this important conversation. Read the full article here: https://bit.ly/3SRvUjC

We were pleased to attend a media reception last night hosted by Trailborn Rocky Mountains at their on-site restaurant, Casa Colina. Our Communications Manager, Claire Molle, attended alongside freelancers Brittany Anas and Sarah Kuta, Colin Wrenn of 303 Magazine, luxury travel writer Alyssa Pinsker of Girl Gone Global Communications, and Estee Rivera Murdock, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Conservancy. Visit Estes Park provided the attending media with goodie bags filled with gifts from local shops and information about Estes Park. We also spoke briefly about our destination, new things this summer, and exciting things to come. Thank you to Megan Shelton from the Trailborn team for being a fantastic host and for the incredible networking opportunity!

Have you heard? The Sundance Institute recently announced Boulder, Colorado as a finalist to host the Sundance Film Festival starting in 2027! We couldn’t be more thrilled and excited for our friends and partners at Visit Boulder for this incredible opportunity! If selected, hosting the Festival in Boulder will create new jobs, attract visitors, and boost winter tourism that will support small businesses in Boulder and the Northern Colorado region. It will also elevate Colorado’s creative industries. In support of Boulder’s bid to host the Festival, they’ve created a short survey to help inform the Sundance Institute’s decision. Please help us support Boulder by taking the four-minute survey! https://bit.ly/46lAVq0 Pictured: our neighbor, Boulder, CO.
