𝗙𝗥Ä𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗜𝗡 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗠𝗘𝗥 // 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗝𝗘𝗪𝗘𝗟 𝗢𝗙 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗛𝗘𝗥 100𝗧𝗛 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗗𝗔𝗬 On November 30, 2024, Sieglinde Vollmer, affectionately known as "Fräulein Vollmer" in Biberach, celebrated her 100th birthday. Born in 1924, she joined the family business VOLLMER, founded by her father in 1909, in 1961. Just three years later, in 1964, she took on the role of co-managing the company alongside her brother. Even today, Sieglinde Vollmer remains actively involved as a member of the supervisory board of the VOLLMER Group and as the curator of the Sieglinde Vollmer Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting charitable initiatives in Biberach. For her centenary celebration, guests were invited to the VOLLMER Technology and Training Center in Biberach. Among the attendees were Mario Glaser, the district administrator of Biberach County, and Rainer Fuchs, chairman of the Schützendirektion, who appointed Sieglinde Vollmer as an honorary member. Also present was Mayor Norbert Zeidler, who, in his speech, not only highlighted Miss Vollmer's contributions to the company and the city of Biberach but also paid tribute to the person Sieglinde Vollmer: "This day is special above all because we are celebrating the 100th birthday of an extraordinary individual. The birthday of a woman we in Biberach are incredibly proud of, and who, since 2022, is also an honorary citizen of this city." 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝘂𝗼: 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 VOLLMER is focusing on the future: Starting January 1, 2025, Tobias Trautmann will expand the management team, forming a new leadership duo with the current managing director Andreas Böhm. With over 20 years of experience in the machine tool industry, Trautmann brings in-depth expertise and extensive international experience to Biberach. Trautmann's career combines technical know-how with management skills: After completing his training as a state-certified technician in the field of mechatronics, he gained valuable practical experience as an application engineer in China and South Korea. He further deepened his expertise during his studies in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering in the UK. The native of Ulm then began an international career as a sales manager for various engineering companies. Since 2020, he has served as division manager at GROB-Werke in Mindelheim, where he was responsible for global sales of universal machines, as well as overseeing the used machine market, product management, and project execution. “With Tobias Trautmann, we are gaining an experienced leader who is a perfect fit for the company's direction,” says Martin Kapp, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the VOLLMER Group. “His international experience, extensive industry knowledge, and clear communication will help further enhance our performance and ensure we continue on our current path. We are excited to have a strong leadership duo at VOLLMER alongside Andreas Böhm.” Since 2024, Andreas Böhm has been leading the VOLLMER Group as managing director, succeeding Dr. Stefan Brand and Jürgen Hauger. With the appointment of Tobias Trautmann, the machine manufacturer is relying on a proven dual leadership model that draws on a 115-year family tradition while positioning the company for the future and a global market.
