I was on WAMU 88.5's 1A again this week.
Abortion rights were among the critical issues in this year’s elections with statewide constitutional amendments protecting abortion access passing in seven states, including Maryland. However, with President-elect Donald Trump returning to the White House and Republicans taking control of the Senate, the future for abortion protections nationwide is top of mind for activists on both sides of the issue.
WAMU SCHEDULE UPDATE: WAMU will have expanded election coverage today with an extra hour of Here & Now at 1:00 p.m, in place of the regularly scheduled Fresh Air. We will also turn to NPR for special coverage of a statement by Vice President Kamala Harris regarding the election results later this afternoon.
