Healing our nation’s warriors with an addiction, through our private, licensed & accredited resort-style healing center
About us
Warrior’s Heart provides private treatment to adult men and women (18 and older) who are seeking inpatient treatment for chemical dependencies and co-occurring psychological disorders relating to PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and/or psychological effects of MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury). Our facility specializes in serving Warriors. These are the men and women who are currently active and veteran members from organizations who protect and serve the citizens of the United States (e.g, Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Law Enforcement, Fire, Paramedics, First Responders, Hospital Personnel, Civilian Warriors, and the like). We are a community of elder warriors, healers and support staff united in the battle against addiction and PTSD. Together, we serve and support our fellow warriors who are still suffering. "During the holidays with extra pressure to drink or use, Warriors Heart encourages those in long-term sobriety to resist temptation and everyone else to respect those who do not want to drink.” — Lisa Lannon, Warriors Heart Founder and Former Law Enforcement Officer So, here are some reminders: 10 Holiday Sobriety Reminders for Military, Veterans and First Responders 1. Plan ahead before a social or holiday themed event (have a sober plan). 2. Avoid high-risk scenarios where people pressure you to drink. 3. Bookend events with support meetings. 4. Rehearse what you’ll say when offered a drink. 5. Find ways to serve others and give back. 6. Don’t neglect self-care during the holidays. 7. Stay connected with supportive people. 8. Keep thoughts in perspective to focus on the big picture. 9. Join a Warriors Anonymous meeting 10. Call Your Sponsor or a supportive family member when the negative thoughts happen. Thank you SOF Missions for this very powerful post on @Buddycheck Wednesday. Here Warriors Heart we aim to do be the light for all we welcome home, and for others who still may be distant to see through the darkness. #Veterans #CommunityCare #VA #MentalHealth #Firstresponders #welcomehome #buddycheck
Sometimes, the strongest among us are fighting battles we can’t see. It’s easy to feel lost in the dark, but even the smallest light can guide someone home. Today, on Warrior-Buddy Check Wednesday, we’re asking you to be that light. Reach out. Check in. A simple text, call, or moment of prayer could be the lifeline your buddy needs. The scars of war aren’t always visible, but they’re carried every day. Like the song says, “But when I see you fading in the dark, I'll leave the light on for you, Through the long nights, I will be right there for you if you drift too far, I'll leave a light on for you...” Let’s remind our brothers and sisters that they’re never alone, no matter how heavy the darkness feels. If you or someone you know needs more, SOF Missions is here to walk the journey with you. 🙏 #veterans #mentalhealth #buddycheck #prayer 📸: Dan Horgan Dr. Damon Friedman
