Last month, Water Bear GP Brice Penaud traveled to Hong Kong as part of TradeMissions.org program with the U.S. Department of Commerce to help U.S. fund managers raise international capital. We were looking forward to connecting with family offices and sharing what we have been working on at Water Bear, and we found it very rewarding to experience Hong Kong's rich cultural heritage along with its reputation as a global financial hub. Throughout the two days, Brice met with more than 140 investors through executive dinners and “speed dating” style conversations, getting to learn more about what they were looking for, and sharing about Water Bear’s innovative startups. It was a whirlwind few days, and we’re feeling good about the seeds we planted for lasting partnerships. We can’t wait to get back!

TradeMissions.org successfully hosted its 87th Capital Introduction trip since 2012, this time in Hong Kong. Sixteen U.S. Alternative Asset Fund managers participated, along with a record 143 registered LPs. 🎉 We are thrilled to announce Fieldguide's $30 Million Series B! We thank our customers, team, and investors for their enthusiasm for solving the CPA talent shortage with Fieldguide's end-to-end AI platform. This milestone reinforces our mission to increase trust in commerce and capital markets, and is a testament to our commitment to offering unparalleled technology solutions to CPA and consulting firms. The Series B brings total funding to $50 Million and will be invested in deepening AI capabilities across more types of audit and advisory services. The funding round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, the venture capital firm that has invested in iconic vertical AI and SaaS companies such as EvenUp, Procore, ServiceTitan, and Shopify. The round was also joined by AI luminaries, SaaS founders, and strategic investors.
