About us
Watershed Management Group (WMG) develops community-based solutions to ensure the long-term prosperity of people and health of the environment. We provide people with the knowledge, skills, and resources for sustainable livelihoods. We envision a world where the relationship between the Sonoran Desert and its people creates prosperity for all. This includes all people, plants, animals, land, and waters of the United States, Mexico, and Native American nations found in the Sonoran Desert. We work with diverse people, including schoolchildren, neighborhood groups, low-income populations, businesses, and city governments. WMG offers technical training to professionals, like our Water Harvesting Certification and Green Infrastructure and Low-Impact Development training. At the core of our work is the value and practice of diversity, equity, and inclusion with the goal of advancing care for people and the environment. In recruiting for our team, we welcome the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of education, opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation and beliefs.

Did you know WMG has been giving out free native edible rain garden kits at our native edible workshops? Tonight is your last opportunity for the year to get in on this. We'll be teaching mini native edible workshops at Rainwater on Tap tonight and raffling off 15 of our native edible plant kits with Foothills Palo Verde trees, and native shrubs like chuparosa, chiltepin, and wolfberry. Get your Rainwater on Tap tickets or make your donation to our Giving Tuesday campaign at Watershedmg.org We're kickstarting today’s Giving Tuesday campaign with $15,000 in matching funds, so don't delay, your gift will have double the impact if you donate right now! Your financial support ensures our free educational programs at the Living Lab can continue, ensuring our weekly classes, Family Saturdays, and workshops can be accessible to everyone interested in attending. We still have $26,000 to raise to reach our $50,000 goal, and gifts of all sizes help! #nativeedibles #givingtuesday #rainwaterharvesting #sonorandesert #nativeplants
