It's National Apprenticeship Week! 🚑 Superior Ambulance: Pioneering EMT Apprenticeships 🚨 Since 1959, Superior Ambulance has been a leader in emergency medical services, known for top-notch patient care and safety. Facing a decline in skilled EMTs, they’ve launched an innovative registered apprenticeship program combining classroom learning with hands-on training to prep future EMTs for licensure. Despite challenges like tight budgets and limited resources, leaders Julie Rose, Ken Truax, Stephan Imlay, and Patricia Sherburne championed this program to address workforce shortages and create accessible career pathways. Superior’s dedication to education not only strengthens patient care but empowers their team to thrive. 💪 #EMTApprenticeship #HealthcareHeroes

It's National Apprenticeship Week! At Superior Die, Tool & Machine, apprenticeships aren’t just a workforce strategy, they’re a legacy. Since 1913, this family-owned business has served industries with quality stamped and machined parts. They’re doubling down on investing in their team with top-notch pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship programs. President John Pyle says, “You gotta build your own,” and that’s exactly what Superior is doing. By offering personalized training pathways, providing tools like personal laptops, and celebrating every apprentice’s milestone, Superior’s apprenticeship program turns team members into skilled tool and die makers and maintenance mechanics. Leaders like Plant Manager Jim Middleton and Engineering Stamping Manager Todd Dobson are at the heart of this initiative, going above and beyond to champion each apprentice’s journey. With 18 program graduates and 18 more currently enrolled, Superior is committed to expanding these opportunities even further in the coming years. Apprenticeships at Superior are creating more than just skilled professionals—they’re fostering a community, a culture of growth, and a shared pride in every accomplishment. #SuperiorDieTool #Apprenticeships #FutureOfWork #NationalApprenticeshipWeek

Spotlight on Apprenticeships, a best practice career track for bright futures Thanks SkillsFWD, congratulations Jessica Weithman!
⭐️ We recently sat down with Jessica Weithman, ASPYR, to learn more about the impact of their $4 million Apprenticeship Building America grant. The funding will help establish the Apprenticeship Resource Hub of Central Ohio (ARHCO), a key initiative providing Central Ohio employers with the tools needed to adopt and sustain skills-based hiring. By focusing on high-demand sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, and education — Aspyr is strengthening Ohio’s talent pipeline, boosting economic mobility, and creating new career pathways for underrepresented groups.
