Meet Hanji, a member of our Culinary Club! Hanji loves to cook. So when we offered Culinary Club this year, he joined right away. In Culinary Club, Hanji is learning real kitchen skills like cutting, proper food handling and food preservation, but he’s also learning life skills like communication, teamwork, and respect. We know that food is proven to have a direct impact on student achievement and their short and long-term success in school and life. Last week, DREAM Charter High School hosted its most dynamic College and Career Day yet, bringing together over 70 professionals from 17 diverse industries—a record-breaking showcase of career possibilities! These volunteers took time out of their day to connect with our students, sharing insights from their unique career journeys and reinforcing the many pathways to success. These events are a vital part of DREAM’s mission to expose students to diverse pathways and careers, providing the knowledge and inspiration they need to pursue their dreams. This program is open to every grade level, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming more volunteers for our upcoming middle and elementary school events this spring! A huge thank you to our volunteers for investing in the futures of our students. Together, we’re shaping tomorrow’s leaders.
