Every day, 17 veterans lose their lives to suicide. Thousands more struggle with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and the challenges of transitioning back to civilian life. Service dogs provide more than companionship, they offer life-changing support. They help veterans manage anxiety, interrupt PTSD episodes, assist with mobility, and provide a sense of security in everyday life. Training a service dog can cost up to $60,000, putting them out of reach for many who need them. That's why Team Foster is committed to making sure no veteran fights alone. Support the mission. Here's what we accomplished in 2024: - Grew our lifetime fundraising to over $2M in support of Veterans and their service dogs. - Partnered with America's VetDogs, expanding our reach. - Funded Pittsburgh's first accredited service dog training program. - 125+ service dogs with Veterans and 1,000+ more with animal-assisted therapy through our training partners. - Engaged with 51 companies to raise awareness. - Hosted 51 community events, raising $32K.
