A huge thank you to the 100+ community members who packed into our new Central Tacoma office last night for our Open House and Community Care Hub Celebration! It was wonderful to see many longtime collaborators and to get to know some folks we’ve only recently connected with. We’re always inspired and motivated by time spent with local advocates, organizers and leaders who are committed to equity and dedicated to improving health and wellness across Pierce County.

We’re still feeling inspired by the insights and perspectives shared by community members at the unconscious bias training last week led by Noah Prince and Jahmad Canley (He, Him, His). Not only was it an energetic and engaging workshop, it was also one of our first opportunities to welcome community into our brand new office and convening space in Central Tacoma!

Big thanks to Jahmad Canley (He, Him, His) and Noah Prince from Potential Unleashed Consulting for leading a training about unconscious bias this morning at our office. We were joined for the training by community members from all over Pierce County representing sectors like emergency and crisis response, social services, health care, and others. Trainings like this aren't easy, but they are always time very well spent.
