Effective mailing practices are essential for nonprofit annual appeals, and a strong call to action (CTA) is crucial. This is your moment to show how each contribution makes a difference. For example, “With your donation of $100, you can feed a family of four for a month” creates a powerful connection. Be specific, clear, and urgent in your ask. Make your supporters feel like vital partners in your mission. Every choice they make has a significant impact, and their involvement directly supports the cause. A strong call-to-action can make all the difference in fundraising. What CTA have you received from another organization that got you to donate? #WeluInc #StrongCTA #NonprofitSupport #CommunityLove

In today’s fast-paced world, clarity is key. When crafting your message, remember: -Keep it Simple: Avoid jargon. Use straightforward language that everyone can understand. -Short and Sweet: Break your message into digestible paragraphs and bullet points for easy reading. -Highlight Their Impact: Show donors how their contributions make a real difference in people's lives. But don't stop at words! 📸✨ Use visuals—photos and videos—to showcase the impact of your work. Share success stories and testimonials from beneficiaries to illustrate how donations are making a difference. When donors see the tangible results of their generosity, it strengthens their connection to your mission. #WeluInc #ClearMessaging #DonorImpact #Nonprofit #Fundraising #Storytelling

Jay Schiesl’s passion was deeply rooted in the work we do here, especially in connecting with and understanding our customers' needs. As we continue to share insights on enhancing your non-profit appeals this month, we also honor Jay's legacy and commitment to this important work. Segmenting your donor list is a powerful strategy Jay valued highly. By categorizing donors—such as one-time, recurring, major, and lapsed—you can customize your communications to truly resonate. For instance, a major donor would receive a different message from someone who has given a one-time gift of $30. A current monthly donor might be encouraged to add a little extra to their regular contribution, while a lapsed donor might be invited to reengage with your mission. As we remember Jay, let's reflect on our approaches to donor management. How is your organization tracking donor information to ensure effective outreach? #WeluInc #DonorEngagement #Fundraising #NonProfitSuccess

It’s with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our long-standing colleague and friend, Jay Schiesl, earlier this week. Jay was a cornerstone of Welu for the past 11 years and his loss has been a profound shock to us all. Jay was deeply involved in the Dubuque community, serving on numerous boards and participating actively in local organizations. He was a well-known and cherished figure in our community. At Welu, Jay loved the close-knit family atmosphere where he could truly connect with his coworkers. His passions included cooking, cheering on the Chicago Cubs, and enjoying Neil Diamond's music. Jay was also known for his unwavering love for his wife, kids and grandkids. We’ll miss his jokes and baseball stories, which never failed to light up the room. Jay’s legacy of warmth and laughter will remain with us always. #WeluInc #InMemory #GoneButNotForgotten #LegacyOfKindness

Sending your annual appeal letter is one of the most meaningful fundraising initiatives you'll undertake each year. It’s a chance to share your successes, express gratitude for your donors, and make a heartfelt request for help. But here's the thing: you only have 15 to 20 seconds to grab your reader's attention. That’s why crafting a compelling letter is crucial—it can inspire some of your largest donations. Taking a strategic approach to your messaging and timing makes all the difference. Personalization is vital—go beyond simply using names. Tailored, segmented campaigns boost engagement. By customizing your message based on each donor’s history and interests, you can truly make them feel valued. With Winc MailFusion, you can manage, track, and optimize every touchpoint, making your appeals even more effective. #WeluInc #PrintMagic #DirectMail #FundraisingSuccess #DonorEngagement
