Today we would like you to meet Clinical Therapist Katie Taggart, MSW, LCSW! As Katie says, "I am dedicated to providing a safe space for all of your therapy needs. I believe the most important component of successful therapy is the development of a therapeutic relationship. I want you to feel safe and comfortable so that real change can be made. When a person feels safe, they are able to be open and honest about their feelings. I work with individuals experiencing a wide variety of mental health issues and life concerns, such as parenting, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and transition of life issues. Working with parents through the child raising process is very rewarding for me. I take a strengths-based approach and enjoy creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. I use various modes of treatment, including CBT, EFT, and Person- Centered therapy. I also enjoy working with older adults and their families as they experience the life changes that come with aging. In addition, I have extensive experience serving clients with chronic and terminal illness as well as grief and loss. I previously worked in hospice for 11 years and, I am passionate about helping individuals make end of life decisions and providing caregiver support. I look forward to hearing from you and working together." #mentalhealthmatters💚
