One of the site's key efforts is supporting the AmCham Scholarship program, which has played a role in nurturing local students for over two decades. This program aligns with AmCham's goal to enhance the business landscape in Vietnam, especially around Ho Chi Minh City, by developing high-caliber human resources for AmCham member companies and equipping students with valuable professional competencies. In November 2024, Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang, manager - human resources business partner at Westlake Global Compounds Vietnam, devoted her time to interviewing candidates in the final selection rounds for the scholarship. This volunteer work reflects Westlake's aim to give back to our communities and support the development of talented professionals. We're proud to share that Mark Grudzien, director of sales PVC/VCM for Westlake North American Vinyls, has joined the board of directors of the Polymeric Exterior Products Association (PEPA). Mark has been a member of the Westlake team for more than 14 years and brings his expertise in the PVC market to PEPA, the trade association representing polymeric building materials used on and around homes across North America. Congratuations, Mark!
We are excited to announce that Mark Grudzien, Director of Sales PVC/VCM at Westlake North American Vinyls, has joined our Board of Directors. In his role at Westlake, Mark is responsible for managing all sales aspects of the North American PVC business for domestic and international channels. With over 25 years commercial experience in polymers, Mark first started in polyethylene and polypropylene, with the last 14 years focused on the PVC market. Besides rejoining the PEPA board, he is also the current chair of the Vinyl Institute of Canada. Fun fact: Mark, along with his wife and three daughters, enjoys annual trips to Maui to hike and watch humpback whales frolic in the blue Pacific waters. Please join us in welcoming Mark. The Lake Charles, Louisiana chapter of our Women of Westlake group recently built camaraderie and spread kindess during its annual holiday party. Attendees donated more than 700 items to Care Help of Sulphur, which provides crucial aid to individuals in emergencies and financial crises. A portion of the donations supported the Backpack Blessings program, which provides food packages to students in need. Thank you to all of our team members who gave back during the holiday season! 💙
