    This week, dozens of women leaders across New York City gathered at our West Monroe New York office for an evening of networking, learning, and connection at our second annual NYC Executive Women's Forum. The event created a collaborative space for industry experts across Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, and more to share insights and benchmark approaches to today’s emerging business challenges. The top takeaways of the night included:  •  AI governance and workforce training are essential to the success of any AI initiative, serving as key factors in ensuring sustainable and responsible outcomes.   • Terms like "hallucinations" and "prompt engineering" have now officially entered the business lexicon, reflecting the growing influence of AI in shaping modern industry practices.     It was a pleasure to moderate and host the CSS Executive Forum on Unlocking the Power of AI at our West Monroe Chicago HQ. I had a fantastic conversation with Michael Hubbard, Neil Jain and Bhusha Mehta about how AI can transform customer outcomes and employee experiences while simultaneously reshaping operating models and team structures. Huge thanks to Omid Razavi at SuccessLab for bringing us together.   A few takeaways : - AI is a strategic imperative. Beyond enabling efficiency and scale in customer teams, it also creates opportunities to deliver differentiated outcomes and experiences for both customers and employees. - Cross-functional collaboration is essential. Realizing AI’s potential requires tight alignment between Product, IT, Data Analytics, and all Customer-Facing teams. This is especially challenging given the rapid pace of iteration, experimentation, and learning required. - AI investments need to be grounded in business outcomes. Budgets are tight, and blank checks don’t exist. Teams must define measurable success metrics early during AI experiments. As the panelists noted, “It’s hard to retroactively calculate ROI if you don’t define metrics upfront.” - AI transformation demands people transformation. Beyond tools and technologies, success hinges on reimagining how work gets done, up-skilling or re-skilling teams, and aligning metrics with what truly matters. Navigating significant change and innovation in team dynamics is critical. - Build vs. buy? It depends. Most organizations adopt a mix of both, depending on the complexity of use cases and their internal capabilities. However, the sheer volume of solutions—from startups to established providers—can be overwhelming.   This event highlighted the importance of these critical conversations—learning from one another in such rapidly evolving times is invaluable. #CSS #CSSForums #CX
