For this episode, we interview Amy and Louise of Skylab Architecture, an architecture firm established in Portland, Oregon, two decades ago, consisting of a collaborative group of architects, designers, and entrepreneurs focused on shaping the future through innovative solutions with a comprehensive holistic approach. Skylab Architecture For the first part, we discuss about the NM Bodecker Foundation, established in 2017 by Sandy Bodecker, which provides creative spaces in repurposed 1950s warehouses in northwest Portland. The 7,769-square-foot facility features performance spaces, a recording studio, an indoor skate park, and living areas for artists-in-residence. Following Bodecker's death in 2018, the Foundation has continued to support artists and the creative community. The design blends historical and modern elements to inspire creativity and engagement.
