Career transitions often arise from a “push”: external life disruptions or mental/physical health issues that highlight misalignments in values or fulfilment. 2. The “push” alone isn’t enough. Finding the “pull” - your purpose and what excites you - is essential to fuel your journey and keep you moving forward. 3. Once you’ve identified a direction, the biggest challenges include: - Fears of the unknown - Self Confidence and Imposteur Syndrome - Misunderstanding from your entourage - Questioning your identity, as work plays a huge role in how we socially define ourselves - Economic risks and consequences 4. Building a completely new network is often necessary, especially if your transition involves a new country, sector, or function. 5. Career transitions frequently require deeper personal growth.
