Read Corey’s Q&A below and get to know our new VP of Sales! 👇 Welcome back—We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make. Q: What was your first hourly job? Corey: I started as a grocery bagger then got quickly promoted to being a checkout clerk. Q: What are you most excited about as you get started? Corey: I'm really excited to be back working with so many of you and there's so many faces that I recognize that, you know, we did some really cool stuff before. And that might sound corny or cheesy, but when you get to my point in life and in your career, you wanna work with people you enjoy solving hard problems with. And if I can have two answers, I’m excited about the technology—the problems that we solve are really real for our customers. In my career before When I Work, I worked with Microsoft licensing and you get into these deep conversations around how many core licenses you need for a sequel server, and I'm sure for some people that's really cool. But it's so far detached from the people that you're building the technology for. So being on customer calls and hearing from the support and success team the problem that we solved actually wowed somebody and made their day better is exciting. Q: Last question for you is what is the best piece of advice you have ever received? Corey: My daughter walked down to my office one morning during COVID and she had written me a little note that she had colored and it said, “Don't let perfection get in the way of progress.” I was like holy cow! It made me tear up a bit and, for those of you who don't know me like that, I can really get too focused on perfection, so it's kind of one of my non-strengths, and to see that from my daughter, who was 11 at the time, was pretty cool, very profound. #NewHire #Welcome #Leadership #Sales
