Exciting news from Palm Springs! The Alluminaire House, a lengendary show house, has officially opened, and we at White's Steel are thrilled to have played a pivotal role in its structural assembly. Our team reassembled the steel and aluminum frame using all original parts dating back to its debut at the Architectural League of New York’s annual exhibition in 1931. As a steel company with innovation as one of our guiding principles, it was both a privilege and an honor to be entrusted with the reassembly of America’s first-ever all-metal, prefabricated house. We approached this project with a sense of deep responsibility, not just as a construction task, but as a preservation of history and an homage to progress. Described as “an educational piece of sculpture,” and "a model for affordable housing", the Alluminaire House stands as a testament to creativity and innovation in modern steel construction. We're immensely proud to have contributed to this celebration of architectural heritage and advancement. White's Steel recently completed structural work at Placita Dolores Huerta (also known as Coachella Valley Apartments)! These state-of-the-art units are set to address housing shortages in our growing region and serve our desert communities for generations to come. White’s Steel is thrilled to contribute to bringing much-needed, affordable housing to the area. We are so proud of this achievement and want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who played a part in getting this project across the finish line.
