Over the past few months, AI models have been rolling out deep research features, and OpenAI just announced yesterday that deep research is now available to all ChatGPT Plus, Team, Edu, and Enterprise users. So, what is deep research anyway? Deep research in AI is the ability of an AI model to conduct in-depth, multi-step research by independently searching for and analyzing information from multiple online sources. It replicates the approach of a human researcher by gathering, evaluating, and synthesizing data to produce comprehensive, well-documented reports with citations. This capability is transforming the way businesses access and utilize information. Instead of manually sorting through countless articles, reports, and datasets, deep research tools can quickly generate accurate, well-sourced insights, helping businesses make informed decisions faster. How can businesses use deep research? ➡️ Stay ahead of trends by quickly gathering industry insights ➡️ Analyze competitors by reviewing real-time data on market strategies ➡️ Summarize regulations to keep up with legal and compliance updates ➡️ Enhance content creation by generating research-backed blogs, reports, and presentations Which AI tools offer deep research capabilities? ➡️ Perplexity AI recently introduced their Deep Research feature, completing tasks in under 3 minutes. It offers a free tier with limited queries and a Pro plan at $20/month for 500 daily queries. ➡️ ChatGPT (Plus, Team, Edu, Enterprise) now includes deep research, finding, analyzing, and synthesizing hundreds of online sources in tens of minutes instead of hours. OpenAI’s deep research tool is included with ChatGPT Plus at $20/month and higher-tier plans. ➡️ Google Gemini provides research-backed summaries, typically processing in under 15 minutes. Its deep research features are included in Gemini Advanced at $20/month. With tools like these, businesses can access high-quality information in a fraction of the time, turning research into a competitive advantage. Have you used deep research AI tools? Let us know which ones and how they’ve helped you.

Zach's on his way back from Tucson, where we had the privilege of partnering with the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center and the Sky Islands Regional Partnership for an AI training session in Southern Arizona! These chambers' dedication to serving their business communities was truly inspiring. They weren't just there to learn about AI, they were eager to apply it in real, practical ways to support local businesses and drive meaningful growth. Looking forward to seeing how they put these insights into action.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is the ability to travel all over the country, connecting with people and communities, all thanks to the incredible opportunities that AI has made possible for us. A huge thank you to the Green Valley Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center and the Sky Islands Regional Partnership for bringing me out to Southern Arizona for this group training. This was the first time we’ve done something like this—bringing multiple chambers together for a shared, in-depth training & implementation—and it couldn’t have been a better group to do it with. Beyond the training itself, being back in Southern Arizona was something special. There’s a pull this place has—something indescribable that both Emma and I feel every time we’re here. The land, the people, the energy—it all fills me up in a way that’s hard to put into words. Every visit deepens that connection, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to come back. And finally, to Chambers of Commerce everywhere: Spending the past two days with these teams was a powerful reminder of the vital role chambers play in their communities. The dedication, passion, and tireless efforts of the people who make these organizations run are nothing short of inspiring. They are the backbone of so many local businesses, constantly finding ways to uplift and support those they serve. To everyone who made this experience possible—thank you. Looking forward to seeing the impact that comes from this training and, hopefully, many more opportunities to collaborate in the future! Randy Graf, Melany Edwards-Barton, Sydney Watts, Maria Jimenez

Huge thank you to the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Greater Milwaukee for having me speak at their Construction Leadership Council 2025 Kickoff at the Harley-Davidson Museum. Despite all the buzz around AI, most construction companies still aren’t using it in a meaningful way—especially not intentionally. But this group? They’re different. The professionals in that room weren’t just curious about AI—they were hungry for real, practical ways to apply it. I was encouraged to hear so many stories of people dabbling with the tech and their eagerness to learn more. We broke down how AI is automating proposals, optimizing scheduling, and streamlining workflows—not just theory, but what’s actually working right now. I didn’t go over hypotheticals, we discussed insights from our work helping organizations in the construction industry around the country. While much of the industry is still on the sidelines, these leaders are already figuring out how to make AI work for them. Excited to see where they take it next.

Now, this is the passion and motivation we love to see after a presentation and training! Great job, Zach Giglio, and thank you, Rob Fetherston, for sharing your experience at the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Greater Milwaukee’s CLC 2025 Kick-Off. AI is transforming industries like construction, and it’s incredible to see leaders embracing its potential to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and drive efficiency.
Vice President & General Manager | Leading Multi-Division Success in Asphalt, Fencing & Sports Courts | Building Relationships & Supporting Growth
Last week, I attended the CLC 2025 Kick-Off and had the chance to sit with Zach Giglio before his keynote, "From Tasks to Insights: How A.I. Streamlines Work and Drives Better Decisions." His talk covered how AI is reshaping construction—making workflows smoother, improving decision-making, and even automating proposal writing. The next day, I joined a small-group workshop with Zach, where we took a deep dive into AI tools. We explored different GPTs, effective prompting techniques, document analysis, and how to structure data for the best AI-driven insights. Seeing these concepts in action made it clear just how much potential AI has to enhance workflows and decision-making in construction. This experience ties in perfectly with a must-read article from Harvard Business Review by Elisa Farri and Gabriele Rosani: How AI Can Help Managers Think Through Problems. The article highlights how AI isn't just about automation—it’s about augmenting leadership thinking and making better, more informed decisions. If you're wondering how AI can fit into your leadership strategy, I highly recommend checking it out! Huge thanks to Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Greater Milwaukee for an incredible event. The conversation around AI in construction is just beginning—how is your team leveraging it? #AI #Construction #Leadership #Innovation #AGCGreaterMilwaukee
