Intentional and Generous. These words come to mind if you spend any time around Emily. She is remarkably generous with her time, from teaching Sunday School, to mentoring youth, to providing respite foster care - and with each endeavor, caring for people with amazing intentionality. Oh and her day job? She works at Show Hope, which cares for orphans by reducing barriers to adoption. But Emily had a problem. She desired to live intentionally and generously with her money as well, but wasn't sure if she had the right skills and habits to live that out fully. "Before working with Jake, I was all over the place with budgeting and spending each month. Making a big purchase would make me feel unsure and often times I wouldn't do a fun house project because I didn't know if it made financial sense." She decided it was time to get more serious about financial freedom, and began her coaching journey. With the guidance, resources and encouragement she gained through her coaching sessions, she was well on her way. "Jake has given me the tools to feel more comfortable in making those decisions… Financial coaching helps you to make sense of everything you have coming in and going out. It helps you be smarter with how you spend your money each month and makes cranking out the goals you set easier because you actually know where you are going and can clearly see the steps you need to take to get there! ... Jake makes celebrating milestones significant which makes you feel like you can keep doing more!" Fast forward - what kind of results has Emily started to see? "I have a greater sense of freedom AND control of my money… Because of setting a monthly plan and action steps, I was able to pay off my car! Additionally, I've been able to give more to my passions and people I care about and not feel burdened by the unknowns of my monthly flow." What an inspiring example of living intentionally and generously on the journey to financial freedom. Want to explore starting your own journey to financial freedom? Lots of great names nominated this year, a number of whom I’ve had the opportunity to do business with, partner with in other ways, engage with through local groups and events, or just enjoy coffee with to talk life and business. Some of them are taking intentional effort to mentor their team so well, others are giving generously of their time to lift up others in need, and others have found ways to use their unique skills and creativity to bring real value to the community through the businesses they have started. Midland's 20 under 40 represents young leaders who excel in their own field. I know the below individuals are truly making a meaningful contribution to their community, so wanted to give them a well deserved shout out! Luke White - White Pine Lawn and Snow Group Ali Huntoon - Allied Group Fitness Allied HR Solutions Elizabeth Wright - MyMichigan Medical Robert Boerner - State Farm Kathleen Haney - MadeUp Media Sarah Owens - Sarah Owens Consulting Brad Schalk - Total Home Lending Shelby Miller-DuFort, MBA - Tri-Star Trust Vote to help determine the winner in each nomination category here ----> https://lnkd.in/geG3dRKk #20under40 #20under40midland #20under40midlandmi #20under40midlanddailynews #MYPros

SAVE repayment plan participants have had their payment pause extended again. What's your plan for the extra cash freed up from not having to make payments right now? Whatever you do with it, make an intentional choice. The one thing you don't want to do is let is just sort of inadvertently absorb into lifestyle creep, and then 6 months from now (or whenever pmts resume) you've got to come up with a way to fit that payment in, and didn't make any progress on say your emergency fund or other debts you want to get off your back! Check out this video for the details on the pause. Need help getting organized and making that plan? Let's chat. #studentloans #studentloannews #studentloanSAVEplan #federalstudentloans #debtfreejourney

Had such an enjoyable conversation with the founders of Gas Money, Austin and Robert, as a guest on their podcast, "Inside Gas Money". We talked about everything from my journey of paying off $100k of student loans, to running Wild Freedom, to money tips for young entrepreneurs and professionals. Austin and Robert are doing some amazing things for the young entrepreneur community - it was an honor to join them. Enter "Jake Randall: Navigating Towards Financial Freedom" to watch the full episode on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcast, etc and listen in! https://lnkd.in/g5GDkeBX #gasmoney #insidegasmoney #insidegasmoneypodcast #entrepreneurtips #entrepreneurship

This was an exchange with a client who asked for some input around a very specific situation they were working through. 🤔 How helpful and refreshing is an outside perspective? Holy smokes. When we are trying to figure out something in our lives, well its OUR lives! That means that we have a hard time zooming out and objectively seeing whole pic. But also, we literally don’t know what we don’t know. How are you going to make progress doing the same thing that hasn’t created the reality you envision. A fresh perspective from a coach can be so helpful in seeing next steps more clearly. I love getting to be that voice of encouragement in my clients’ lives that says “I’m sure you can find a way to improve this - have you considered X? What about leveraging Y approach?” Oftentimes, these are fresh ideas or solutions they had no idea existed, and it provides a new sense of hope and motivation to move forward. Do you need a fresh take on your finances? #financialfreedom #financialsecurity #financialpeace #financialindependence #financialcoach

We laughed, we played, we hiked, we kayaked, we cut wood…. …we made space for good company, nature, and our good Father to refresh us. A little wild freedom on the lake up north among the colors and hills was just what I needed. A few friends, our baby girls, and nowhere to be. 🍁 I can’t help but think about the financial journey that we are all on - many times thinking about money can make our breath feel constricted, our path forward feel woefully unclear, and frustrating due to lack of progress. The total opposite of a deep breath of fresh air that comes from confidence and clarity around our money. And that’s why I founded Wild Freedom Financial Coaching. To see more people breathing in that peaceful breathe of fresh air. If you want a hand navigating it all and making the most of your money, I can help. Does your soul need a little wild freedom? 🏞🌄 #wildfreedomfinancialcoaching #personalfinance #financialcoach #moneycoach #financialfreedomcoaching

Doxa Dinner #2 in Midland is in the books! All of the presenters did a great job sharing about their entrepreneurial journey and vision for their business. I shared an "alumni update", giving some highlights from Wild Freedom since I presented at Midlands inaugural Doxa Dinner this spring, and shared some things on the horizon. Kristie Mulder of Firm Foundations Physical Therapy was voted the winner of the micro grant! 🏅 It was great to be back with a group of people - some repeat faces and many new faces from the first time around - who were there to engage with and support small business in our community. Isaac Ryder's music was on point and the Dinner was great too. If you're an entrepreneur, or hopeful entrepreneur, this is a great, accessible opportunity. I'd be happy to chat with you about it. Doxa Dinner is gaining momentum in our city - they announced at the event that there will be 11 more in Midland over the next 3 years! #doxadinner #entrepreneurship #entrepreneurialjourney #doxadevelopment
