🏎️ Engineering Meets Adrenaline: Windsor Team Takes on K1 Speed! What happens when you put 25 engineers on a go-kart track? Pure competitive spirit emerges! Our Ridgefield office recently traded their computer stations for racing helmets at K1 Speed Hillsboro for an unforgettable team-building experience. The team piled into two 15-passenger vans with Travis Tormanen and Thayer Hendrickson, PE Hendrickson at the wheel. Once at the track, they were divided into three teams, each going two rounds. The day was filled with surprising revelations - our quietest team members showed their fierce side on the track, while first-time racers discovered their inner speed demons. Special shoutout to Travis Meyette, whose dedication to victory (second place actually) gave Brooke Tormanen a case of whiplash. Sam Homola played illegal bumper cars with Thayer but was unsuccessful in bumping him out of the way. The team refueled with a fantastic spread from BJ's Restaurants, Inc., sharing laughs and racing strategies. The random team assignments pushed everyone out of their comfort zones, creating new connections and memorable moments. Who knew that putting engineers behind the wheel would reveal so much about team dynamics? Though some may have discovered a newfound appreciation for careful collision avoidance calculations!
