We had an amazing time at the DNC in our hometown of Chicago! We talked to amazing candidates, activists, delegates, and more from all over the country, and gave away ALL of our button supply. We also held a raffle for a free website for a year with Winnable. Congrats to Christopher Espinoza, a school board member in Illinois! Christopher is exactly the kind of candidate that Winnable was built for - a downballot candidate making real change in his community. Elected at 20 years old, he is the youngest person ever to represent District 99. Christopher is passionate about education policy and ensuring that all students have access to equitable and affordable education. Now, at 24 years old, Christopher is seeking reelection to the District 99 Board of Education in the April 2025 municipal elections. We're excited to work with you!

Earlier this week we launched our AI integration! From the beginning we knew that Winnable could solve a lot of challenges that downballot campaigns face with websites (cost, time spent, design, etc), but content was always a blind spot because we couldn’t write copy for everyone. Our AI integration helps candidates create a first draft of content that can be edited and customized, without having to write a prompt or code at all. We’ll take some details from your website setup (name, district, pronouns, etc), you enter the topic and select the length, voice, and tone, and it returns content for you to edit. When we tested this with campaign staffers, we found that on average it cut the time to write content in half. That’s countless hours that downballot campaigns can spend talking to voters that otherwise would have been staring at a blank page. We wouldn’t have been able to build this without the Higher Ground Labs Progressive AI Lab - and we’re excited to continue to build on the current features and help more downballot campaigns in 2024! We’re excited to be part of Higher Ground Labs Progressive AI Lab! We’re building an integration with generative AI to test whether downballot campaigns can benefit from content creation help. We are looking for campaigners of all experience levels to help us test this tool. We’re offering a stipend of $150 for an estimated 3-5 hours of work to create test content for a single-page site between January 24 and January 29.
