It's always a treat to see our members featured in the local media. The Thornton family, Ann Thornton and Kyle Thornton, owners of SIMPLY CHEESE., were recently featured in Winter Park Neighbors magazine. SIMPLY CHEESE. is a boutique purveyor of artisan cheese and accoutrements in Winter Park -- top-notch place to go for high quality cheese and one of the most knowledgeable vendors in the industry!

Meaningful dialogue begins when you bring people together, and our State of the City event on Friday brought together many stakeholders in Winter Park. Our business community, elected officials, nonprofit leaders and residents enjoyed networking and learning about Winter Park's financial state, accomplishments and future plans for our Mayor Sheila DeCiccio, and hearing a state of the Chamber from President and CEO Betsy Gardner, IOM. We are grateful to everyone who attended and enjoyed the opportunity to network and engage in dialogue on the issues that matter to them. We are also grateful to AdventHealth for their support of this event. Visit our Facebook page to see even more photos. Thank you Hughes Fioretti Photography for capturing the day. #chamber #government #business #networking

We are saddened by the passing of the Honorable Geraldine F. Thompson, a dedicated civic leader who shaped our community through her decades of service. We were fortunate to have the Senator’s long-standing partnership and leadership in arts advocacy for our region and across the state. We are proud to remember her contributions and legacy as our community gathers to collectively mourn her passing. Pictured: The Winter Park Chamber’s Art is Good Business Delegation with Sen. Opportunities to network and reconnect are some of our favorite moments at the Chamber. We offer many networking events each month that are engaging and welcoming and connect you with a powerful network. Our recent community mailer highlighted the incredibly valuable programs the Chamber offers each year. We're in recruitment season for all three of our top programs: Relaunch: Career Reentry for Professional Women, Youth Leaders summer leadership development for high school students, and our Leadership Winter Park program. There is likely someone in your household who could benefit from one of these three, so we hope you'll learn more and apply. Follow the links in our comments to learn about the programs and the upcoming deadlines to apply.
In this ever-evolving digital world, there is still something special about print media. Last week, this bifold mailer - which focuses on our Chamber programs - hit mailboxes across Winter Park! It’s part of a broader campaign to educate the community about what the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce actually does - including beloved community events like Best of WP, the Autumn Art Festival and the Christmas Parade. Kudos to our marketing team for such an excellent campaign! I’m so proud of the positive impact the Leadership Winter Park, Youth Leaders and Relaunch programs have on our community. Also, I’m beyond grateful to have Ashley Coleman Billings and Jill P. on the programs team helping create these transformative programs that help people learn, grow, connect and belong. ❤️

Do you know a woman who is ready to go back to work? Getting back to a career after a pause is a major hurdle for women to cross, which is why we developed our Relaunch: Career Reentry for Professional Women program, presented by Orlando Health WINNIE PALMER HOSPITAL FOR WOMEN & BABIES. It has changed the lives of more than 140 women across six states, giving them the confidence and tools to reenter the job market, and building a talent pipeline for businesses. We need your help to find and encourage these women to learn about this virtual class and consider applying. Bring a woman that you know to our free Power-Up information session on Wednesday, Feb. 26, to learn about the Relaunch program. The next class begins March 25, so the time to apply is now. Women interested in the program can reach out to Ashley Coleman Billings for more information or follow the link in comments to learn more and apply.
