A community of hope and housing.

About us

For more than 90 years, WISEPlace has served more than 8,500 women by pairing housing solutions with wrap around services like counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance. At WISEPlace, we serve unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness who often lack the support system of a spouse, significant other, or children. The stats are startling: 1 in every 3 homeless adults in the U.S. is an unaccompanied woman (a population that is severely underserved and overlooked nationally), but WISEPlace is where they can get the help and support to rebuild their lives. The heart of what we do is provide a community of hope and housing where participants are supported with vital wrap-around services on their journey from homelessness to personal self-reliance. A donation of any amount will support WISEPlace and our participants. Interested in donating? • ✨ WOW!! ✨ Happy work anniversary and the successful completion of 6 years leading WISEPlace to our incredibly hard-working and tenacious CEO, Brateil Aghasi. 🎉👏 On your first day, the gym and the entire second story leaked and flooded the entire lobby and both floors of our building. On your third day, smoke came from the electrical outlets. Your second year, an international pandemic and a complete rebranding of the organization. And that's just naming a few things. What else? Taking us from transitional shelter only, to adding new emergency shelters, new affordable housing projects only dreamed about and talked about prior to your leadership with 30% and 50% ami affordable housing projects throughout OC. What else? Bringing in holistic workshops and extended graduate programming with over 250 workshops annually with increased volunteer, foundation, and corporate support. What else? Providing over a million dollars of new rental assistance to survivors of domestic violence in OC annually and building the only permanent supportive affordable housing to have vouchers for survivors of domestic violence in OC. Thank you for your resilience; when most would have left, you stepped up and led WISEPlace through the incredibly uncertain times beginning 2018 and now we thrive. We can't wait to see what year 7 brings for WISEPlace thanks to your vision and leadership. Happy work anniversary, Brateil! Your dedication and passion inspire us every day! 🌟 #Leadership #WorkAnniversary #Inspiration
