Angel Ng, the Prudential Group’s regional CEO for Greater China and former Citigroup Asia head, spoke about how constructive partnerships with male allies go a long way in closing the gender gap. Speaking at the ‘Women Aces in Leadership’ event today in Hong Kong, organised by Prudential, Ng said, “As leaders in an organisation, we need to be more observant and call out when seeing things that are not right”, and recalled “how a male boss helped her find her voice in a board meeting among male contemporaries” as reported by the South China Morning Post. In the same panel discussion, others “emphasised how organisations can take action to foster a more inclusive environment, by establishing initiatives that see male leaders become allies of women. That can serve as a powerful force to challenge stereotypes, leading to impactful change in a company’s culture”, the report by SCMP added. Women Board of Directors couldn’t agree more! 👏👏👏 #AngelNg #WomenLeadership #MaleAllies #WorkplaceInclusion
