Today, we’re shining the spotlight on the legendary @Kitty Black Perkins, our 2024 Wonder Women Trailblazer Award Honoree. As a creative force at Mattel, Inc. for 28 years, Kitty led the design of hundreds of dolls, including the first Black Barbie, the African American collection, and Shani & Friends. Kitty's trailblazing career has been fueled by innovation and as she shared in her Wonder Women Awards speech, her drive to “make dolls that little girls could aspire to.” Her work is truly inspirational.
