  • Happy Giving Tuesday! Today is an excellent opportunity to support members of our community who are struggling to make ends meet. Did you know that 39% of individuals in our area are considered ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed)? These dedicated individuals work hard but still struggle to cover basic expenses. Your support can make a significant difference in their lives. Whether it’s $5 or $50, no donation is too small to help those in need. Together, we can provide resources, assistance, and hope to those striving for a better life. Please donate today on the United Way of Beaver County website: https://lnkd.in/e6hDXYm3. Let’s show our community that we care! Pictured L-R United Way of Beaver County Board Member First Lady Pamela Vreen, Board President Toni L. Sadecky, Executive Director Mary Lou Harju

  • In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let’s take some time to pause, reflect, and give thanks. As we gather with our loved ones, remember to keep a spirit of gratitude and a great atmosphere. Here are some tips for doing just that. -If anyone indulges in murmuring and complaining, shift the energy and start singing, “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, yes, He is good!” -Starts arguing about politics or religion: “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, Yes, He is good!” -Finds fault with the food: “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, Yes, He is good!” -Starts gossiping, shut it down with: “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, yes, He is good!” -Starts speaking negatively: “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, yes He is good!” -Bring up your past: “Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, yes He is good!” May you have a joyous, peaceful, and blessed Thanksgiving!

  • Pastor Carlton and First Lady Pamela Vreen (C) recently attended 101.5 WORD-FM, Pittsburgh Pastors, and Leader's appreciation luncheon onboard the Gateway Clipper. There, they met Pastor Glen Germany and his Wife, Carrie Germany (far R), of Jesus Dwelling Place in North Braddock, who made national news when a gunman entered his church and pointed a gun at Pastor Germany while conducting bible study from the pulpit. We are thankful that by God's amazing grace, the firearm did not discharge. This is truly a testimony of God's protection and Power. So, during this Thanksgiving season, reflect on the goodness of God, His grace and mercy, and begin to give thanks! #CoveredByTheBloodOfJesus #givethanks

  • Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating storms. The aftermath of the storms has brought immense suffering to many families, resulting in the loss of lives, homes, and entire communities. We pray for God’s refuge, provision, and comfort for all those impacted. Psalm 46:1-11 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

  • Last week marked our Pastor and Founder Carlton and First Lady Pamela Vreen’s 17th year in Ministry at Word of Life Church. Join us at our official Pastoral Anniversary Appreciation Service on Sunday, August 25th at 9:30 am as we honor their selfless devotion to our church and community. Hear from Guest speaker Elder Wyman Dean of Holy Spirit Fellowship Church New Brighton PA who has a knack for delivering the adulterated Word of God with passion and fire. We hope to see you there! “‘And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15 ESV
