The World Affairs Council of Atlanta's mission is to empower Atlantans to lead globally by prompting new thinking on critical global issues. We are a non-partisan, non-profit, membership forum for informed discussion of international affairs that impact Metro Atlanta's economy, culture, and quality of life. Founded in 2010 to support of the city’s transformation into an international economic hub, we have organized hundreds of programs exploring a diverse array of world events and trends.

  • Last Wednesday, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta had the honor of hosting Ambassador Stuart Eizenstat, former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, for a discussion on his new book, The Art of Diplomacy: How American Negotiators Reached Historic Agreements that Changed the World. 📖 Based on interviews with over 60 key figures including former U.S. presidents, secretaries of state, and global political leaders, the book provides an intimate look at diplomacy in action and how it shapes history. The event featured opening remarks by Stuart Eizenstat, a fireside chat moderated by Rickey Bevington, followed by an engaging audience Q&A.
