After nearly fifty years of innovation and creative output, Silicon Valley can still feel vast and desolate. But the past decade has also brought us a big shift in workplace design as tech companies and private developers compete for top talent and tenants with an array of head-turning new campuses. At the center of this transformation is the City of Mountain View. Home to Google, Microsoft, Intuit, and others, Mountain View foretells a more sustainable development pattern for the Valley. Two recent WRNS projects show how. 🔗 Read more https://lnkd.in/gpeewG3M #publicrealm #workplace #mountainview #siliconvalley #wrnsstudio

Thanks to George Washington Carver School and our friends at McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. for an amazing LEAP Sandcastle Classic! Our “Space Cowboys” may not have taken home this year’s trophy, but our joyful spirit won the day! This year continues WRNS Studio’s long-time tradition of supporting the mission of Leap - Arts In Education “to provide top quality arts education programs that help students build skills to achieve their fullest potential.” “LEAP Sandcastle is like Lord of the Flies in reverse: it starts with school kids, shouting, and chaos on a beach; but ends with unity, smiling faces, and a fun sculpture that everyone somehow made happen together.” - WRNS partner Tim Morshead

Prometheus Real Estate Group wanted their new headquarters to echo the richly layered, community-focused experience of their apartment offerings, while celebrating the company’s Northern California roots. In response, no detail was spared, revealing a design process more common in that of a custom residential project. Bespoke and familial, elegant yet casual, Prometheus’ new workplace feels like a comfortable and welcoming home—one that embraces the mild climate and the natural beauty of Northern California.
