The Winston-Salem Foundation is proud to support the preservation of history! We've provided a $75,000 bridge loan to Triad Cultural Arts for the restoration of a historic shotgun house in the Happy Hill neighborhood. This project, in partnership with Preservation Forsyth and our Black Philanthropy Initiative, celebrates the resilience and cultural significance of African American heritage in Winston-Salem. Our Youth Grantmakers in Action (YGA) recently volunteered at SECU Family House of Winston-Salem, making a meaningful impact! They rolled up their sleeves to clean common areas, brought joy by calling out Bingo for the guests, and spread positivity with uplifting messages on the walkways. It's inspiring to see young leaders making a difference in our community. We thank this group of students for their leadership and impact!

We had a fantastic morning volunteering at Second Harvest NWNC in celebration of our 105th birthday! Special thanks to HandsOn Northwest North Carolina for organizing this project for us! We supported Second Harvest with their important local efforts and their response to Hurricane Helene for our neighbors in Western NC. Together, we packed more than 3,000 meals and contributed to their collection bins. There’s no better way to honor this milestone than by giving back alongside incredible partners making a difference every day. Thank you, Second Harvest, for welcoming us! Here’s to 105 years of building community, and many more to come. 💙
We love spending the morning with our friends at The Winston-Salem Foundation Today that foundation is volunteering at Second Harvest NWNC in honor of their 105th Birthday!
