📢 Great academia and industry minds from Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium come together for the kick-off meeting of SonoSkin project. ✨ The consortium is ready to work together towards a fully integrated, miniaturised MEMS-based scanning ultrasound systems. Wearable ultrasound for continuous lung monitoring and musculoskeletal health monitoring are in focus. In addition, an innovative reference design for wearable 3D ultrasound products will be developed. Edge AI combined with, musculoskeletal modelling and 3D ultrasound data acquisition will assist the user in the optimal placement of the wearable ultrasound device, and extract from the 3D volume scan the relevant clinical information. 🚀 Introducing the Breakthroughs of the XSR-FMC Penta Project! NAND-Flash-based storage systems are crucial in professional domains like industrial, medical, and automotive applications, where #reliability and #security are non-negotiable. Yet, global energy consumption for data storage exceeds 2%, underscoring the urgent need for power-efficient solutions. The XSR-FMC project successfully developed a reliable, secure, and ultra-low-power flash memory controller using a predominantly European supply chain. Highlights include: ✅ A PCIe SSD demonstrator based on cutting-edge European technologies. ✅ Over a dozen complex IPs developed, two patents filed, and nine academic publications. ✅ Pioneering Thin-Flex packaging technology, enhancing future form factors. ✅ Collaboration with leading institutions to deliver robust firmware and post-quantum cryptography advancements.
