🚀 Xelis: Innovation in Scaling Private Blockchains 🔥 1/ Scaling a privacy/confidential blockchain isn't as simple as increasing block sizes or reducing block times. Unlike traditional chains and blockDAGs, XELIS_project must verify transactions on encrypted data, which is computationally intense. 🛡️⛓️ 2/ As we explained in our article (🔗 https://lnkd.in/da-eXcpC ), the bottleneck isn’t block production—it’s transaction verification times. 3/ Currently, our nodes execute transactions in a single-threaded manner. ⚡ Where each TX execution takes ~0.39ms, meaning we can achieve ~2500 TPS on our PoW-based BlockDAG. While already groundbreaking for a private chain, we know we can do better. Much better. 🔥 4/ Our devs are implementing a multi-threaded batching architecture, enabling parallel execution & validation of transactions. This means multiple threads working simultaneously to verify transactions at scale. 🔄💡 5/ Early multi-threading results? 🚀 4 threads processing transactions in parallel 2500 TXs * 4 threads = 10,000 TXs verified in ~1.3084s That’s ~0.13ms per TX, leading to a massive jump to 7692 TPS 📈 6/ From 2500 TPS ➡️ 7692 TPS—a 3x improvement 🚀💥 And we’re achieving this without increasing block size or block time. 7/ But we won’t stop here. We will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in scaling private, confidential blockchains.
