The Heart of Leadership: 6 Signs of an Authentic Leader Credit to Steven Claes. Follow him for posts on Leadership - HR and Culture. Original post: __________ I used to think being a leader meant having all the answers. Boy, was I wrong! True leaders aren't perfect. They're real. They're human. Just like you and me. I've learned that authentic leadership isn't about being the smartest or the strongest. It's about being honest, kind, and always trying to do better. Here are 6 things that make a leader truly authentic: → They know themselves inside and out → They never stop learning and growing → They stick to what's right, even when it's hard → They share their thoughts and feelings openly → They understand feelings - their own and others' → They listen to different ideas before making choices Want to be a great leader? Try these: → Learn something new and share it with others → Ask for feedback - even if it's tough to hear → Make time to really listen to your team → Say "I'm sorry" when you mess up → Stand up for what you believe in → Show kindness every single day You don't have to be perfect to lead. You just have to be real.💚 PS. What's one way you'll be more authentic today? __________ 📌 Get instant access to viral visuals you can personalize and post to grow your LinkedIn → ProfileBoost.com

Failure isn‘t the opposite of success. It's the most important part of it. It's how you learn and grow. You were taught to avoid it at all costs. But what if you changed your perspective? When you fail, you learn what doesn't work. This is essential knowledge for success. You also learn about yourself. You learn how to persevere. You learn your weaknesses. You learn your strengths. Next time you fail, don't beat yourself up. Pick yourself up and learn from it. And keep on moving forward. Never forget: Every single time you fail, you will learn and grow. Don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid to not try. ♻️ Please repost this and share it to help others. 👉 Follow me Lukas Stangl for daily tips! 📌 Want free PDFs of my best cheat sheets? We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak. Yet, we talk twice as much as we listen. (Epictetus) SPEAKING and LISTENING is a 2 way street. How many of you have shared your thoughts, only to be met with someone sharing theirs without asking you any deeper questions to move the conversation forward? 🙋🏾♀️ When this happens we leave conversations feeling unheard. Listening is one of the easiest and hardest tasks to do because our brain is cluttered with tabs and notifications. If we want others to listen when we speak, we must learn to listen when they do. Effective communication is the cornerstone of leadership. It's about clarity in expression and intent in listening. Benefits of being a better listener: • Increased likability (yes) • Stronger relationships • More opportunities for growth To become a better listener, create a ritual: (I do this for my coaching sessions) • Close all notifications before important conversations • Schedule dedicated listening times • Take a moment to clear your mind before meetings Benefits of speaking with clarity: • Faster task completion • Reduced misunderstandings • Enhanced leadership presence To speak with clarity: • Organize your thoughts beforehand use structures to communicate your governing objective • Use simple, direct language • Tailor your message to your audience (read the room) Can’t do this well yet? No worries, it’s a skill so that means you can master it with practice. #aLITTLEadvice Share this with someone who needs it. 💗 —- Over 300+ guests attended my LinkedIn Audio Event on Tuesday to listen to my first episode “Listening to communicate.” 🎉 I’ve been hosting LinkedIn Audio events for months now so it felt like it was time to leverage the content in a more effective way. If you missed it, it’s now on Apple Podcast. (Im working with a video editor - it will be on YouTube soon) I’ll be going live on LinkedIn Audio to tape a new episode every Wednesday at 1:30pm EST.
