Thank you to Barley's Backyard in Towson for hosting a Y Turkey Trot fundraiser!! 15% of proceeds were donated to the Y in Central Maryland to support our open doors program. With your support, thousands of families have access to summer camps, food pantries, youth programs, Y family centers, and so much more! Community matters!!

📣 Incredible Monday News 📣 Across all of our The Y in Central Maryland programs and sites, including Head Start and Early Head Start, Preschool, Before & After School Enrichment, Camp, Mentoring, Community Schools, and our Y family centers, we will serve more than 80,000 children and teens this year. That’s 80,000+ young lives depending on us to be there for them. Tens of thousands of families trusting us to keep their children safe. This is both an honor and a profound responsibility. And that is why one of our four core Operating Principles is Safety. It’s a solemn duty that we are all bound to uphold. With this in mind, I am immensely proud to announce that the Y in Central Maryland has been awarded Praesidium Accreditation® from the national leader in child abuse risk management and prevention. McCormick & Company, based in Hunt Valley, MD really knows how to add spice to every part of life. During the annual marketing meeting this week, the team came together to demonstrate their commitment to purpose-led performance by building 10 bikes, working together to add the spice of joy to 10 local area kids this holiday season. The bikes were donated to The Y in Central Maryland. Thank you Glen Schutzman and Katherine Quiroz for inviting The Leaders Institute to help with their meeting.
