We gave a warm YES welcome this morning to Dr. Yvonne Spicer, Executive Director of Life Science Cares Boston. Before our campers headed out for a pool party at the Danversport Yacht Club, we enjoyed games, crafts, and a lovely morning meeting! Thank you to Dr. Spicer and Life Science Cares for generously supporting YES. We couldn’t offer our summer programs without you! (P.S. Special thank you to Sean Higgins Director at The Summer Fund Philanthropy MA for stopping by the YES office this morning! When caring teams like Breakthrough Properties and Life Science Cares Boston join forces to support Boston youth, the impact is real! Thank you to these groups for preparing over 640 “Snack Packs” with motivational messages for young people in YES’s Summer Track & Field program. Beckman Coulter Diagnostics visited the YES office last week to help organize our Rental Shop in preparation for next winter! Thank you to these wonderful volunteers for lending a helping hand in our space! (and jumping into some of our favorite YES icebreakers! 😄) #yeskidsboston

YES is thrilled to announce that our organization will be receiving a $100,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation. Cummings Properties “Receiving the Cummings Foundation grant is truly an honor for YES,” says Bryan Van Dorpe, Executive Director of Youth Enrichment Services. “The funds will go a long way to supporting our work with Boston young people and giving them opportunities to experience the outdoors, build self-confidence, and develop into young leaders through our year-round programs.”   YES is grateful to receive this generous gift from the Cummings Foundation. Apply to work as an Outdoor Adventure Leader or a Track & Field Assistant Coach with Youth Enrichment Services!  Outdoor Adventure Leaders learn and instruct youth on the basics of mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and rock climbing while collaborating with adult Activity Captains to plan, organize, and lead programs. Track & Field Assistant Coaches collaborate with Track & Field coaches and leaders to plan, organize, and lead activities at English High School in Jamaica Plain or Moakley Park in South Boston.
