As we round out filling our Programs Team under the Direction of Senior Program Director: Drew Kelley, CYC-A, we would like to welcome our new team members Taylor Kline as our Program Director: Summer Camps, Elizabeth Brehob our Program Director: Groups and Retreats, and recently promoted Programs Coordinator: Day Camp and Programs Owen Hopkins. They join their colleague Sarah Johnson our Programs Director: Childcare & Families. Our office is filled with energy as this all-star staff team is kicking off our winter season getting things ready for our next Outdoor Education spring season for Groups and Retreats as well as Camp this upcoming summer season. This team has over 30 years of combined professional experience working in the YMCA and its Youth Programs. We are incredibly lucky to have this expertise at Ridgewood YMCA's Camp Bernie to enhance the experience of every camper, student and participant that visits Camp. Welcome to the team!
About us
YMCA Camp Bernie sits within the Schooley Mountains in the northernmost area of Hunterdon County, New Jersey; approximately 1.5 hours from New York City. The camp sits on 275 acres of hilly forests and beautiful streams feeding the Musconetcong River. The surrounding areas include an additional 500 acres of protected county park property including trails and outdoor opportunities in our own backyard. Camp Bernie has been in continuous operation since 1957 and serves over 15,000 guests annually through Outdoor Education, Group Rentals and our traditional overnight and day summer camp programs.
