Meet Patrick Sheridan Kilcoyne, MPA, our newest board member! 🧡 Patrick is coming on as the Treasurer! He currently works as the Director of Development at Metropolitan Community College Foundation. 🚀His biggest professional achievement is receiving the 2021 ynpnGO Emerging Nonprofit Leader Award, receiving the 2020 Emerging Fundraiser Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Nebraska Chapter, obtaining his BFA in Theatre from Creighton University, and finally obtaining an MPA in Nonprofit Management from University of Nebraska-Omaha.🎓 Patrick is a former theatre kid who has been doing a better job of prioritizing improv comedy and acting as hobbies over the past year. He regularly appears at the Backline Comedy Theatre, was featured as part of The Hero's Journey during the Omaha Fringe Festival, and is currently in rehearsals for Angels in America at the Omaha Community Playhouse.🎭 ✨He is passionate about connecting dots and helping create opportunities. Throughout his time as a fundraising professional, he has seen no shortage of individuals seeking to improve their lives in a variety of ways and a similarly large number of people who want to be involved and help the community. "It is thrilling to be in a career field where we're able to connect these groups." Patrick supports the mission of ynpnGO because he sees how important the work being done by the nonprofit sector is to the well-being Omaha. He began my career in nonprofit arts, spent eight years working with health and human services nonprofits, has volunteered with our Chamber of Commerce, and recently transitioned to higher education. In all of these stops, he has seen the importance of the nonprofit sector and its programs and know none of this crucial work improving lives in our communities can happen without a strong workforce.
