👇🏼 my 3 learnings from what felt like a podcast chat with Kornel Grunwald, Founder Asso at ElevenLabs. Feels like quite a ride with culture that is built on: 🔥 INTENSITY - this makes for fast execution, quick iteration, and intellectual stimulation. I think they intentionally hire for intellectual intensity as it cascades from Founders, Kornel himself produces "dense" thoughts if I can say so 😉 Talent Density strategy is the clear winner for AI companies where value is multiplied vs traditional Saas companies. I felt flashbacks from my 🦄 unicorn journeys - it was always FREAKING INTENSE, both people and this urgency to build, sale, hire.. it just drives you! 🤼♀️ EGOLESS - process and tackle your ego to learn. Kornel underlines that it's key to generate value, and create a working environment where people thrive without a defined structure. No hierarchy, no titles, just working on whatever data or instinct presents as the best opportunity at the moment. Requires self-awareness when to drive, and when to ask for help, when to disagree. It is impossible without the right Talent Density. 🫵🏽 OWNERSHIP - includes proactivity, quickness of tackling challenges, learning fast from failures and jumping on an idea whenever it presents itself with full intensity for solving the problem. ElevenLabs is intentionally hiring a lot of ex-Founders -> great strategy (similar to Ramp). thanks to Young Operators for organizing it - truly great format!
