✍️The Rising Experts Program (REP) is one of the flagship programs of YPFP. Starting in early Spring, the REP is designed to help emerging, diverse, and underrepresented professionals enhance their writing and analytical skills, publish articles, and build a portfolio of work.
As a YPFP Rising Expert, you are joining an elite cohort of committed, like-minded individuals from around the world. You are given the unique opportunity to hone your subject matter expertise and better share your insights with policy audiences. Through a rigorous and collaborative writing process, the Editorial team will help you produce, pitch, and publish quality analysis with national and international outlets to build your voice and credibility within your respective field. Past Experts have published in outlets that include Foreign Policy, The Diplomat, Fair Observer, and Diplomatic Courier.
✨Rising Expert areas of expertise include:
Regional: Latin America, Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Indo-Pacific, Africa
Functional: Geostrategy, Energy, National Security, Defense, Human Rights, Global Health, International Development
Experts also have the option to propose their own regional or functional area of expertise.
