Since 1905, the YWCA of the District of Columbia, which later grew into the YWCA of the National Capital Area has been serving the needs of our nation's capital and the surrounding areas. Today, the YWCA of the National Capital Area continues to carry out its mission of empowering women and eliminating racism. Programs include Adult Education & Workforce Training, Youth Development, and Advocacy (Domestic Violence, Adult Literacy, Women Empowerment, and Economic Empowerment). www.ywcanca.org
